Tech West Loft warehouse conversion completes

Columbia Group is pleased to confirm that their subsidiary Formation Design & Build has completed work on Tech West Loft. This permitted development involved the conversion of a brick warehouse and office building into 58 flats and duplexes for private sale and rent. The buildings were also upgraded to meet Part L of the Building Regulations, and the windows were replaced with metal frames. Wherever possible, beams and trusses were also left exposed in keeping with the industrial aesthetic. A large portion of the warehouse roof was removed to create an open courtyard at the centre, allowing dual aspect flats with improved daylighting and circulation. In addition, the flat part of the roof was converted into a green roof.
